About Snowbunting

Pleased to meet you - my name is Melanie and I am a home accessories addict! 

Snowbunting was launched in 2017 in order to provide a haven for those of us with a love of vases, a penchant for planters, and for whom the phrase 'what's the point of a cushion?' causes palpitations.  I particularly love products that have a bit of personality - they may be quirky in appearance, have an interesting background, or just inspire joy.  All are welcome into our broad church, and I hope you love them too.  

Why Snowbunting?  I have a particular love of all things Nordic – whether it be watching The Bridge, visiting Icelandic geysers, or pottering around Copenhagen.  I love the people, the buildings, the lifestyle, and – of course – the ‘hygge’ that’s supposedly responsible for their high levels of happiness.  ‘Hygge’ roughly translates as ‘cosy’ and that’s reflected in the products I sell.  I love blankets, throws, cushions, candles, and simple gifts that are beautifully designed.  The snow bunting is a pretty bird that’s common in the Nordic countries, and was an easy choice for the website name.

I don’t ever want to rival John Lewis; my ethos is to keep things small so that I can offer a personal service.  I'll also never able to rival the likes of Ikea when it comes to prices - but again the ethos of Snowbunting is to source interesting products at a reasonable cost to the customer.  You will always be able to find a gift or treat for yourself for under a tenner!  Please never hesitate to contact me (see the 'Contact Us' section for all the details) if you have questions, comments, or suggestions – I love to hear from customers.
